Strategic Investment Fund (SIF)

As UIS progressed from Academic Reorganization to Academic Revitalization, funds were made available to implement initiatives that accelerate progress toward achieving goals for increased enrollment. Proposals for the $2.5 million funding pool are being considered in two rounds: round 1 applications during AY 22/23 and round II applications during AY 23/24. Art & Artifacts Collection Policy

The purpose of this Policy is to ensure that works acquired by UIS and the University of Illinois Foundation on behalf of UIS are of high quality and inherent value and that prove complimentary to the enhancement of the educational environment and the mission of the campus. That mission is to provide a uniquely student-centered educational experience both in and out of the classroom through active learning, meaningful research and impactful civic engagement that prepares graduates to contribute fully to society.

The University of Illinois Springfield held a Faculty Honors Reception on Tuesday, May 3, 2022. Interim Chancellor Karen Whitney and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs and Provost Dennis Papini presided over the ceremony.

Four major awards – the Pearson Faculty Award, the Spencer Faculty Service Award, the Faculty Excellence Award and the Burks Oakley II Distinguished Online Teaching Award - were presented.
