Dear Students, Faculty and Staff —
Over the past week, universities throughout the country have reported instances of students or recent graduates having their F-1 visa status terminated, often without notice to the affected individual. Our UIS International Student Services team has been closely monitoring the situation, and unfortunately, some students and recent graduates have had their visa status terminated.

Dear Students, Faculty and Staff:
The University of Illinois Springfield and UPI Local 4100 Non-Tenure Track Faculty Union have reached a tentative agreement on the terms of a three-year contract for the non-tenure track faculty bargaining unit, representing approximately 43 non-tenure track faculty.
In the coming weeks, the parties will go through their respective processes to approve the terms of the agreement. Specific contract terms will be available for public release at that time.

Dear students, faculty and staff:
The UPI Local 4100 Non-Tenure Track Faculty Union, which represents 43 non-tenure-track faculty, delivered a Notice of Intent to Strike on March 7 prior to receiving the University’s latest proposal. While this action means that the union can opt to strike any time after a 10-day waiting period, no sooner than March 17, it does not mean that a strike will occur.
Please save the date for our next Chancellor’s Thinkers Series - A Call To Think: On Common Ground. Chancellor Gooch will be joined by Matt Van Vossen and Ryan Melchin, Class of 2011 UIS Graduates. Matt and Ryan will discuss how they navigated diverse leadership roles on campus, including leading the college democrats and republicans while sharing a dorm room. Matt and Ryan exemplify respect for differences and the power of finding common ground.
