Conferences and Symposia for Faculty

26th Annual Conference on Illinois History

Located at the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum on October 3 and 4, 2024, the 26th Annual Conference will hold roundtable discussions, panels, presentations, and workshops on the history, culture, politics, geography, anthropology, sociology, and archaeology of Illinois.

Proposal Submission

  • All externally funded proposals must be internally reviewed and approved by the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs (ORSP), and submitted to sponsored by an Authorized Organizational Representative. Please provide all sponsor required documents to ORSP via the START myProposals portal.

  • Read the Instructions: Read solicitations and guidelines carefully and thoroughly. Follow formatting and note restrictions. Fully answer ALL questions and provide ALL documents.

But what is it that these engineers actually do when they go about engineering concepts? Hint: they don’t need a literal toolbox to do it. I want to suggest that they engage in a distinctive kind of agency.
