Professor Shapinsky and His Students 'Exhibit Asia' to the Conference on Illinois History

On October 3rd, 2023, students from UIS presented their historical research at the Conference of Illinois History, located at the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum. This research came from Dr. Peter Shapinsky’s HIS 486: Exhibiting Asia course, in partnership with the Illinois State Museum.

The Office of Research and Sponsored Programs have introduced a new program, “Building Research Partnerships at UIS and Beyond.” The objective is to foster connections between UIS faculty and external researchers working on similar projects.
