Assistant Professor of Finance Serkan Karadas has been named the PNC Distinguished Professor in Banking and Finance at the University of Illinois Springfield. The endowed professorship will provide Karadas with significant financial support to conduct research and other academic-related activities.

The University of Illinois Springfield’s Center for State Policy and Leadership (CSPL) will discuss the important work it’s doing to promote the public good during its annual showcase event on Thursday, Sept. 14 in the UIS Student Union Ballroom. The event will begin at 8 a.m. with networking and a breakfast, followed by the program from 8:30 to 10 a.m.
