At approximately 10 a.m. on Dec. 11, the UIS Police Department will be conducting a test of the Rave Alert notification system which utilizes text messages, emails, website banners, digital signage and social media. The test will be followed up with an email that contains a link to a brief survey (no longer than 4 questions) to evaluate the efficacy of the system and identify any operational gaps. Aisha Katsina Isa, a University of Illinois Springfield student pursuing a master’s degree in public health, was honored with the Emerging Public Health Leader Award at the Illinois Public Health Association (IPHA) 83rd Annual Meeting and Conference on Nov. 19, 2024.
