Women's Golf Third at Flyers Fall Intercollegiate

UIS women's golf competed at the Flyers Fall Intercollegiate tournament in Lemont, Ill. at the start of the week. The Prairie Stars finished third out of ten teams with a total of 638 strokes for 36 holes, defeating GLVC opponents Quincy, Lewis, and Lincoln.

UIS hosted the nationally touring Send Silence Packing display on Thursday, Oct. 3, 2024. The all-day event, held on the UIS quad, aimed to inspire action for suicide prevention and connect participants with local and national mental health resources. Organized by the UIS Active Minds student chapter, the Department of Psychology, the Volunteer and Civic Engagement Center, and the Counseling Center, the display encouraged conversations about creating a positive community climate for mental health. |
