Human Resources presents the third annual Take Your Child to Work Day on April 24, 2025. We have a fun-filled day planned that includes a dorm tour, a slime activity, and a tour of the E-Sports Arena. We welcome up to 20 kids, aged 10-15 years old (7-9 years old with a parent present), to come and join us for the afternoon. To participate, register your child(ren) today! |

Campus-Wide Wi-Fi Upgrade

Thanks to campus and system-level financial support, ITS is in the process of implementing a campus-wide infrastructure refresh as part of our efforts to improve Wi-Fi performance. This is a multi-phase project with an expected projected completion date of August 2025. During the transition for each building, laptops, tablets, and phones should automatically switch to the new Wi-Fi after a possible brief interruption in service. |

UIS students gain access to free test prep through the new Prepare for Illinois’ Future program

The Prepare for Illinois’ Future program, a statewide partnership administered by the Illinois Student Assistance Commission, is providing University of Illinois Springfield students with free access to Kaplan’s test prep resources for graduate admissions, licensure and credentialing exams, as well as skills development courses. |

UIS Softball Triumphs Over Rockhurst in Doubleheader

The Illinois Springfield softball team had strong performances in both games of a doubleheader against Rockhurst on Sunday, securing a 4-3 victory in the first game and a 4-0 shutout in the second.
