These new efforts, submitted by UIS students, faculty, and staff, are a refreshing sight amidst the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. They will begin to be implemented throughout the Spring 2021 semester. On September 18, 2020, the Green Fee Committee had a record 12 student applicants to join. We hope that those not selected this year will strongly consider reapplying in the future, and we encourage all to submit a Letter of Intent this fall. Eric Kuchar named the UIS Employee of the Month for April 2022

Eric Kuchar has been named the University of Illinois Springfield Employee of the Month for April 2022. He is the assistant to the dean of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. Kuchar’s nominator says he “consistently demonstrates outstanding performance” and always goes “above and beyond” the tasks for his job to help out whenever needed. “He is the first one coming in and the last one to leave the office,” said Lan Dong, his supervisor and interim dean of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. |

Registration is now underway for more than 200 summer courses at UIS

Registration is now underway for more than 200 summer courses at the University of Illinois Springfield. Current and prospective students are encouraged to apply now for classes starting on June 6. “Whether students are wanting to get a jumpstart on classes, or are determined to graduate sooner, this is a great opportunity to continue their educational goals,” said Vickie Cook, UIS associate vice chancellor for enrollment. “Reduced fees this year make it more affordable than ever for students to take summer courses.” |
