The University of Illinois Springfield women's and men's cross country teams, along with six individual student-athletes, have been recognized with U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic honors. To earn individual All-Academic distinction, student-athletes must maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.25 on a 4.0 scale and finish in the top 30 percent of their respective regional championship meet. The UIS women's golf team is hosting a special fundraising event to recognize National Girls & Women in Sports Day, which took place on February 5th. This event will take place on Saturday, Feb. 22, at the UIS Golf Simulator at The Recreation and Athletic Center (TRAC) on campus.

The UIS men's basketball team will wrap up a three-game home stretch on Thursday, hosting Indianapolis at 7:30 p.m. at TRAC. Illinois Springfield (11-12, 6-9 GLVC)
