Avery Beausoleil enjoys the tight-knit community and interactions with professors at the University of Illinois Springfield. Beausoleil is a part of the Capital Scholars Honor Program (CAP) and is a student worker at the Cox Children’s Center. Beausoleil chose UIS for the campus size and CAP honors program. Following graduation, they plan to become a middle school teacher.

Edwards serves as the vice president for Model Illinois Government and The Prairie Clowns. He also serves as the vice chancellor of the Political Understanding and Activist Club and is a member of Delta Kappa Epsilon International Fraternity Inc. Following graduation, he plans to obtain a master’s degree in global studies.
