Happy Monday,

I hope you enjoyed the holiday and weekend with friends or family. As we enjoy the hot summer, I wanted to share some exciting updates and upcoming events. We're continuing our work to improve education, support our students and faculty, and keep our digital environment secure.

Facilities and Services will oversee the inspection of fire alarm systems during the week of July 8th. This is primarily a visual inspection, but there will be brief, intermittent activations of alarm horns and strobe lights as part of inspection procedures.

Current Position: Marketing Consultant at ABC NewsChannel 20-Fox Illinois

I graduated with a degree in Business Administration and took Advertising as an elective. It was one of my favorite classes, so I knew I wanted to work in that field somehow.

Richard Gilman-Opalsky, a professor at the University of Illinois Springfield School of Politics and International Affairs, has released a new book titled “Imaginary Power, Real Horizons: The Practicality of Utopianism.” The book, available for preorder now, will be released on July 9.
