The Institutional Committee for the Care and Use of Animals (ICCUA) oversees all research protocols involving animals. Questions regarding animal subjects in research can be directed to

ICCUA policy calls for the submission of a protocol for any research involving vertebrate animals. This includes field studies with wildlife if the animals are to be handled. The following forms and any supporting documentation are due no later than one week before the Committee convenes.

Concerns About Animal Welfare

If you have concerns about animal welfare, protocols for animal care for this lab and/or facility have been reviewed and approved by UIS’ Institutional Committee for Care and Use of Animals (ICCUA). If you have any concerns regarding the care of animals in this lab/facility contact any of the individuals listed below. Reports can be made confidentially.
