UIS Colleagues:

Recently, the University Senates Conference put together an educational document designed to inform University of Illinois System employees about the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), and the UIS Campus Senate is working with pertinent stakeholders on campus to distribute the information to all employees.

Carol Marshall has been named the University of Illinois Springfield Employee of the Month for September 2023. She is the admissions and record coordinator for the UIS Office of Admissions Processing.

“She's always willing to listen and help in any situation, work-related or not, and is a rock for her team. She puts in the effort to ensure every applicant's admission process goes smoothly, and if there is a problem, she will find a solution,” said Marshall nominator.

Innovate Springfield (iSPI), the University of Illinois Springfield’s business incubator located in downtown Springfield, will host a new business startup educational series for inspiring entrepreneurs titled “iSPI startup map.”
