Paul Pinneo has been named the University of Illinois Springfield Employee of the Month for June 2022. He has worked as Web Specialist III for the UIS Office of Web Services since July 2019. Pinneo’s nominator describes him as “a great team player, always helping the office/campus as a whole with his contributions outside of his day-to-day duties.” |
Summer 2022 UIS Graduation Application Deadline - Monday, July 4

Students graduating in Summer 2022 or Fall 2022 must submit an online Graduation Application via Student Self-Service (https://apps.uillinois.edu/ - “Graduation” tab) by July 4, 2022 (Summer 2022) or October 3, 2022 (Fall 2022). Students MUST be sure to verify that all curriculum information is listed accurately BEFORE submitting an online Graduation Application (including major, minor, concentration, etc.). |

UIS baseball falls to Point Loma at NCAA D2 National Championship

The University of Illinois Springfield baseball team is competing in the NCAA Division Two National Championship. UIS fell to Point Loma in the first round Saturday evening. UIS Field Stations offer research opportunities to university students

The University of Illinois Springfield provides students with unique learning opportunities at the UIS Field Station at Lake Springfield and the Therkildsen Field Station at Emiquon in Lewistown. Dr. Tom Rothfus is the director of the field stations and spoke to Community Voices about the research being conducted and how it benefits the local habitats. |
