During the break between semesters, ITS will be upgrading the servers that host Wi-Fi and the VPN on the afternoon of Wednesday, May 17. 

Users may experience a brief interruption in Wi-Fi service during this time. Users already connected to the VPN should remain connected, but there may be a brief period when new connections will not be available.

Shannon Smith has been named the University of Illinois Springfield Employee of the Month for May 2023. She is the ticket manager for UIS Performing Arts Services. Her nominator describes her as a “beacon of customer service” and someone that every UIS employee should model.

A total of 1,178 students earned degrees from the University of Illinois Springfield at the conclusion of the spring semester on May 13, 2023, pending completion of university requirements.
