The UIS volleyball team picked up another win on Friday night as they swept McKendree at TRAC. With the win, the Prairie Stars improved to 16-8 overall with a 6-4 record in the GLVC. The Bearcats drop to 9-14 overall with a 4-6 conference record.

The Illinois Springfield men's cross country team heads to the NCAA DII Midwest Regional Championship on Saturday, Nov. 9, at the Lewis Cross Country Course in Romeoville, Ill. The Prairie Stars will compete for a top-three finish to secure an automatic bid to nationals or aim for an at-large selection to continue their postseason run.

The UIS women's basketball team opened their season with a 70-63 loss to the Tiffin Dragons. Despite a strong effort throughout the game, UIS was unable to overcome a late surge by Tiffin.
